Dang! I can't believe it, "The World's Greatest Bender" was nominated for a Daily Deviation! More amazingly, it was *selected* as a Daily Deviation. I suspected something when I logged onto DA earlier tonight, and there were 638 messages waiting for me. ACK, that's more than I usually get in a couple of months. Holy smoke, I certainly found out how to send my hit-count through the roof. All I had to do was think up one half-baked Avatar pun, post it, and have ~rufftoon (https://www.deviantart.com/rufftoon) highlight it as one of her faves! I've never had a piece get more than 2000 views before, and "The World's Greatest Bender" is probably going to pass 5000 views sometime today. Man, I never realized that there were so many "Avatards" out there. And the cool thing is, many of you new visitors are scanning the rest of my gallery as well. To all my recent visitors - thanks fer comin'! Take off your shoes and sit a spell.

Wait a second, aren't I the same Scrooge that was bah-humbugging everybody left and right only a few days ago? Yeah, but now that the holidays are actually here, I have come to realize an important distinction. I still dislike all the frantic hype and commercialism of the weeks running up to Christmas. But Christmas *itself* is still pretty sweet. It's great to have a couple of days to relax and not worry about work.
